I have a fig tree that is a rooting from my great great grandfathers tree he planted in 1784 and it has been in a terra-cotta pot (about 20”) for 10+ years now. I am keeping it in a pot to keep it smaller for a townhouse patio yard. I don’t need a 40’ tall, 50-60’ wide tree with a 5’ diameter tree.This pot is much lighter (I did buy a 500 pound plant dollie) much better looking and will give the tree much more breathing room. You do need to drill a hole in the bottom of the pot if you want to use it outside. I am excited to be transplanting this cherished fig tree to this beautiful and sturdy pot this weekend.I strongly recommend this to anyone looking for a good looking and tough pot.
