I think this planter is easily a 5 star product. I think Kante has done a great job overall; though nothing is perfect and I have a critique.THE GOOD:1) beautiful contemporary raw understated styling2) YES, there is a drainage hole on the bottom in the center3) The fibercrete material will patina each you water the plant. I love this effect as it gives the planter way more character and looks even more raw. In bonsai, the more character the planter has the better and I find this concept also makes house plants look great as well. Some people wont like this patina effect but I think its amazing and ads to it's value (for me)4) very light weight considering it's designed to look like concrete.5) packaging is very secure and well done and professional.THE BAD:1) On the bottom side of the planter there are channels that divert the water coming out of the hole in the bottom of the planter. These channels arent the best design. They channel the water to the 4 corners of the planter. The reason this isnt ideal is that it makes it difficult to secure silicon pads/feet in the corners to prevent the planter from scratching the table you put it on. So I ended up having to use 8 silicon pads instead of 4 as I had to put them in more strategic areas. If the channels were instead directing the run off water off the sides (instead of the corners) then Id just have to use 4 silicon pads in each corner to prevent scratching a table it sits on. Overall, it's not that big of a deal, silicon pads arent expensive. (btw I secure the silicon pads with epoxy or crazy glue typically... if I ever want to take them off I can pop them off with a screw driver no problem)OVERALL:Great product. Love it and I highly recommend it for those who love that contemporary (and/or industrial) look with clean lines at a great price. The patina effect with each watering is beautiful
